19 Pakistani Universities Included in World’s Top 500 Greenest Campuses

The top 500 Greenest Campuses ranking has been published by the University of Indonesia (UI)

Green Metric in which 19 Pakistani universities have been included. 

Total 912 universities from 84 countries along with 51 universities from Pakistan participated in the competition. However only universities made it up to the top 500. 

According to the list, the Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture from Multan made it to the top list in Pakistan followed by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Both Campuses are placed at 154th and 179th respectively.

Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has dropped its ranking to third after losing 325 points in the education research sector placing itself at 192 in the global ranking.

Whereas the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the University of Lahore are ranked at fourth and fifth in Pakistan’s greenest campuses. Their global rankings are 216th and 226th respectively. 

Likewise, the Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Capital University of Science And Technology, and Mehran University of Engineering & Technology are ranked at sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively whereas their global rankings are 234th, 286th, and 298th, sequentially.
